3 GPS Kid and Teen Tracking Systems

This post is about two different ways to track your kids with GPS and some possible systems you might want to consider. Consider this an introduction to GPS tracking systems and continue with your own research to determine your specific needs before you buy.

It’s small and lightweight and comes in a variety of colors. It is also very accurate and can locate someone within a few yards, even in populated areas such as cities. It’s a great GPS cell phone solution.

Cell Phone Sim Card Spy – The Sim Card Spy is not a GPS tracking system, but is rather a tool to help us make sure our children are not involved in anything that might get them in trouble. What it does is to tap into all of the files that are saved on a cell phones SIM card and makes those files available to you. This means you will have access to all of the text messages, incoming and outgoing calls from that cell phone.

I think that the Cell Phone SIM Card Spy is a compliment to GPS kids tracking because while it won’t tell you the location of your child it will tell you what they are up to when they are out. This may help you to save them from any possible trouble or harm in the future.

Keeping Track of Your Kids With GPS

Global positioning systems or GPS for short is a way to track the location of people or things using the satellites in the sky. GPS systems these days are small and compact and can be installed many places such as your car, a watch, cell phone, backpack. The fact that the GPS systems are so small and portable makes them perfect to use as GPS kids tracking devices.

GPS tracking for children is a way to help parents keep tabs on where their children are. These GPS kids devices can be placed in watches, cell phones, backpacks, even attached to the children’s shoes. You then attach the GPS kids tracking device to the child or one of their possessions such as a backpack, watch or cell phone. GPS is very accurate and reliable and can locate a person within several yards accurately.

There are a variety of plans you can subscribe to get tracking services. Anything from unlimited tracking to just several trackings per month is available. Obviously the unlimited tracking is the most expensive option.

The tracking information can also be accessed in several different ways. Some companies offer tracking via the internet or your cell phone, while others require you to install software on your computer for your GPS kids tracking. You can also receive reports from most of the companies with details of the tracking being done. Real time reporting is the most expensive option when you subscribe to a GPS tracking plan.

The only real negative to GPS kids tracking is the cost, but for the peace of mind that it affords you it really isn’t all that expensive. You should plan on paying $150 as a minimum for the actual GPS tracking device and anywhere from $25-100 per month for the GPS tracking service.

A children’s GPS tracking system can give you added comfort and security knowing that you can find your children no matter where they are. GPS kids may balk at having the device, especially once they are teens, but many will accept it if explained to them in the proper way. Younger children are much easier and often don’t even need to know that the GPS tracking device is installed. Remember, GPS tracking is no substitute for proper parental supervision, but it does provide some additional peace of mind in the case of emergencies.
